Jim O’Shaughnessy is the Chairman and CEO of O’Shaughnessy Asset Management (OSAM). Also serving as the Chief Investment Officer of the firm, Jim is ultimately responsible for OSAM’s investment strategies. He directs the Senior Portfolio Manager, Director of Research, and the Portfolio Management Team and helps to set the agenda for the team. He is also responsible for the development of OSAM’s existing strategies and directs the team on idea generation and specific initiatives to improve the models and develop new factors and products. Jim is an equity owner in OSAM and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

Prior to founding OSAM, Jim was the Director of Systematic Equity at Bear Stearns Asset Management and a Senior Managing Director of the firm. Prior to Bear Stearns, he was the CEO and Chairman of O’Shaughnessy Capital Management (Netfolio).

Long recognized as one of America’s leading financial experts and a pioneer in quantitative equity analysis, he has been called a “world beater” and a “statistical guru” by Barron’s. In February 2009, Forbes.com included Jim in a series on “Legendary Investors” along with Benjamin Graham, Warren Buffett, and Peter Lynch.

Jim is the author of four books on investing. Forbes pronounced his first book Invest Like the Best “awesome” and named it one of the best financial books of the year. His next book, What Works on Wall Street, is a BusinessWeek and New York Times Business bestseller and called “An indisputable classic...downright momentous” by TheStreet.com. Financial Analysts’ Journal said it was “indisputably a major contribution to empirical research on the behavior of common stocks in the United States...conceivably, the influence of What Works on Wall Street will prove immense.”

Jim’s third book, How to Retire Rich, was a New York Times Business and BusinessWeek bestseller. Jim’s most recent book, Predicting the Markets of Tomorrow, was published in 2006. Jim was named “manager of the year” in Gordon Pape’s 2004 Buyers Guide to Mutual Funds for his management of the Royal Bank (RBC) of Canada’s O’Shaughnessy Funds, and the Canadian Investment Awards named the RBC O’Shaughnessy U.S. Value Fund “U.S. Equity Fund of the Year” in 2004 and 2005. Jim has a B.A. in Economics from the University of Minnesota.

Jim serves as the Chairman of the Board of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and as a board member of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Jim is married with three children and two grandchildren and lives in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Chris Meredith is the Director of Research and a Senior Portfolio Manager at O’Shaughnessy Asset Management (OSAM). He is responsible for managing investment related activities at the firm: investment strategy research, portfolio management, and the firm’s trading efforts. He directs the Director of Portfolio Management and the Director of Trading on managing daily investment decisions. On the research side, Chris leads a team of analysts conducting research on new factors, improving existing stock selection and portfolio construction techniques. Chris has also authored several whitepapers including Price-to-Book’s Growing Blind Spot and Microcap as an Alternative to Private Equity. He is also the author of the “Investing Research” blog. Chris is an equity owner in OSAM and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and Operating Committee. Chris is also a Visiting Lecturer of Finance at the Johnson School of Business at Cornell University, where he co-teaches Applied Portfolio Management and co-manages the student-run Cayuga Fund. Prior to joining OSAM, Chris was a Senior Research Analyst on the Systematic Equity team at BSAM. He was a Director at Oracle Corporation and spent eight years as a technology professional before attending the Johnson School at Cornell University. Chris holds a B.A. in English from Colgate University, an M.B.A. from Cornell University, and an M.A. of Financial Mathematics from Columbia University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He lives in Chappaqua, New York with his wife and three children.

Erin Foley is the Director of Trading at O’Shaughnessy Asset Management (OSAM). Erin is also responsible for the execution of our non-directed trades which are generally related to our institutional, mutual funds and other comingled fund accounts using brokers, algorithms, and direct access. On a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, she reviews all trades for best execution analysis. Erin is an equity owner in OSAM and a member of the firm’s Operating Committee. Prior to joining OSAM, Erin was Vice President and Institutional Sales Trader at Canaccord Adams where she performed trade activity in Listed, OTC and International markets with a focus on small cap equities. While at Canaccord Adams, Erin was a part of the team responsible for opening the firm's first regional sales and trading office. Prior to joining Canaccord Adams, Erin spent four years as a Vice President and Institutional Sales Trader for Deutsche Bank Securities, where she executed trades, enhanced cross-selling opportunities through the use of derivatives and provided access to syndicate deals. Prior to that, Erin was an Operations Manager/Junior Sales Trader for Morgan Stanley where she began her career in 1995. She holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of New Hampshire.

Scott Bartone is the Director of Portfolio Management & Operations and a Portfolio Manager at O’Shaughnessy Asset Management (OSAM). His responsibilities include investment strategy research, factor research, and portfolio construction. Scott is responsible for the day-to-day portfolio management activities of the firm and manages a team of traders and trade support staff focused on delivering the firm’s strategies to clients. He is also responsible for managing operational relationships with outside vendors that the firm uses. Scott is an equity owner in OSAM and a member of the firm’s Operating Committee and Executive Committee. Prior to joining OSAM, Scott worked at Bear Stearns and Co. in New York, where he was responsible for providing operational and trade support for broker staff and third-party money managers utilized by Bear Stearns’ Private Client Service team. Scott has a B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany and an M.B.A from Cornell University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Patrick O’Shaughnessy is a Principal and Portfolio Manager at O’Shaughnessy Asset Management (OSAM). Patrick is the author of Millennial Money: How Young Investors can Build a Fortune, published by Palgrave Macmillan. He is also a contributing author to the Fourth Edition of What Works on Wall Street and the author of several white papers such as Alpha or Assets? — Factor Alpha vs. Smart Beta, the subject of which was a keynote presentation at the 2016 Morningstar annual ETF conference. Patrick’s podcast “Invest Like the Best” recently passed 1.5 million listeners and was named among “5 Investment Podcasts You Should Listen To” by The Wall Street Journal. He is also the author of “The Investor’s Field Guide” blog. Patrick’s responsibilities at OSAM include investment strategy research and product development. He is also responsible for generating new research to enhance investment strategies through stock selection, portfolio construction, or asset allocation. Ehren Stanhope is a Principal and Client Portfolio Manager at O’Shaughnessy Asset Management (OSAM). Prior to his role at WAMCO, Ehren served as an Account Executive at Indymac Bank in the Mortgage Banking Division and a Regional Director for Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. Lenny Castagna is a Trader at O’Shaughnessy Asset Management (OSAM).
