In Memoriam

Sandra Hahn-Colbert

Sandra Hahn-Colbert, CFA

1963–2014

Sandra Hahn-Colbert unexpectedly passed away on Monday July 21, 2014 at her home.

Sandra was a teacher and mother at heart. She was great at connecting with people and maintained a large network of former colleagues and professionals she met throughout her career. She was honorable in that she felt it was her duty to give back to the industry. A great example was being excited — yes, excited — to score CFA tests in Charlottesville, VA a few summers ago. She had a heart of gold and demanded excellence of herself. She also had a tremendous thirst to continue to learn and most recently earned her CIPM designation.

Sandra was very proud of her teenaged children. She shared stories of their successes and bragged as only a proud mother could. Her outside interests included horses, quilting, piano, gardening, and her church community. She also enjoyed the beautiful home she built with her family on the property where she and her sister grew up.

Sandra joined our firm in October 2007 as the Director of Performance Measurement. As her tenure with us grew, she added responsibilities including managing our operational back office relationship. She was awarded equity in the firm in 2010.

She is survived by her children Jake and Alex, her sister Laurie Hahn, her mother Joan Hahn, and her ex-husband Bill Colbert.

We all enjoyed working with her and will miss her dearly — first as a friend, second as a colleague.

In Sandra’s honor our firm has established a fund to provide college education funding for her children. If you would like to contribute, please contact OSAM at 203-975-3333.

“Sandra was a tremendous representative of one who sought to learn and grow, as well as to accomplish.”
