Ray Amoroso is the Chief Compliance Officer at O’Shaughnessy Asset Management (OSAM). Prior to joining the firm, Ray worked at Stark & Stark, P.C. a law firm focusing on providing legal and compliance services to Registered Investment Advisors. Ray specializes in the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, disclosure statements, marketing materials, ADV Forms and U-4s. He also has extensive experience in developing and negotiating business contracts, forming policies and procedures manuals, performing mock SEC audits and addressing ongoing compliance issues. Before joining Stark & Stark, P.C., Ray was a tax consultant for Bisys-DML Global Services LLP where his responsibilities included tax advisory services and compliance. From 1999 to 2001 Ray was with Deloitte & Touche, LLP where his role included tax compliance for corporations, partnerships, limited liability corporations, individuals and trusts. He is a member of the New York, New Jersey, and United States Supreme Court Bars, certified as an Authorized House Counsel by the Connecticut Bar, and was named as one of “The 20 Rising Stars of Compliance” in Institutional Investor News magazine. Ray holds a B.S. in Accounting from Rutgers University and a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law. Ray lives in Stamford, Connecticut with his wife.
